  • My first exposure to multimodal learning, teaching audiovisual literacy
  • More engaging for auditory learners than reading/out loud recitation
  • Pairing lessons with examples/visuals not easily brought to the classroom (i.e. complicated/dangerous science experiments)
  • “Integrative and active nature of [communicating through technology]” (Roswell & Walsh, 2011, pp. 57)
    • Allows for more flexibility to what can be shown to teach a lesson (students who have difficulty connecting to a verbal/written description can see the lesson in action)
